Jack Flint: It cant be a sus2 chord because it contains a 3rd. It would be a sus2 if it didnt have a third. Its an add9 because it has a 3rd but no 7th.

nope, it would be sus2 if the 3rd was missing (e is the 3rd in this case). It's just Cadd9.
