nothing else matters by metallica is 3/4. the only 5/4 song i know is called 5/4 by gorillaz[nothing else matters is not in 3/4 but in 6/8. you can easily hear the difference if you compare it to another song which is in 3/4.

Four Sticks by Led Zeppelin is the best 5/4 example I can think of.

EDIT: also, the intro bit of White Room by Cream is 5/4.

3/4 is the almost the same as 6/8


They have the same number of 8ths per measure, but 3/4 is three beats per measure, while 6/8 is two beats per measure, with each beat being divided into three. They have very different, distinct feels.

On topic, Living in the Past by Jethro Tull is in 5/4.
