yah i wouldnt suggest a metal muff and a micro cube
the cube is nice for 3 months then your ears get used to it and youll just get bored of the sound thats why i say get the epiphone

its happened to all my friends

That looks like a pretty nice guitar. I think you owe yourself a tube combo and a set of pedals. There are several for $200 USD (5 watt combos) or look used for a little more power. The sound of that guitar through tubes will be great.
Cubes are good practice amps but you will not get the dynamics, articulation or response you could get with tubes.

I'm honestly not that experienced with customizing but i'm pretty sure Daron used Gibson Burstbuckers in his Iceman, and some kind of Marshall tube amp.

both are pretty expensive though..but they're what you would need for that "real" SOAD sound.
Bought for a few pennies

well yah thats the point were making
for relativelivly the same amount of money youll get a bettor amp

the Cube seems like alot of fun right now and really cool

Or longer. I'd keep and use a Cube, despite my tube fetish, for it's flexability and such.
