stands for Realistic Sound Engine
it creates a "realistic" sound for some instruments contained in the program.
i dont like it on the other hand, im a MIDI man

It is the " real sound engine".

Just makes the playing sound more human i guess.

It's supposed to deliver actual guitar an bass sounds. It's alright i guess. it gives you the option of making rythem and lead guitars sound at least a bit different.

It makes drums, bass, and guitar sound real, but hogs more computer RAM and CPU speed, and doesn't work well with old computers
playing both MIDI and RSE sounds at the same time may cause instrument syncing issues (or at least it does for me)
