I'm planning on getting a laney gh-50 soon and was wondering which 2*12 cab you guys would recomend to get with it, i only have £200-£300 to spend on the cab.

engl 2x12's are about $700 from rock solid amps. so that's about 300 quid, but it ought to be even cheaper in england.

well rocksolidamps has them listed at about $700 for u.s. retail, so with the exchange rate in mind divide by 2 to get an idea of what the cost would be in eur/quid, then there's a lot less of a shipping charge for retail in england.

are you sure that site was the street price, not the suggested retail?

Been having a look at the engl's and they are a bit outta my price range atm, thorman genraly gives a pretty discounted price from the street price too. the framus look pretty good.

alright then. it seems weird to me, that's generally how pricing on european products to america relate but i guess ENGL is different.

yeh i thought it would be cheaper aswell because of Engl being a european company but i guess this isn't the case

what seems weird to me is that th HB speaker is £140 and the EGLS about £400 odd yet they all have the same speakers so apart from very minor differences like wood and build etc all your paying for is the name
