i really miss my time as a young child. im 16, so by no means am I not a kid, but i saw a thread on pokemon and when we could watch TV all day and be happy, and it made me think how much I miss my childhood, and actually made me a little upset.
who agrees?
#3
i agree. it was so carefree. just go to school, play with crayons, then going home and playing tag until the sun went down. good times

i miss light up sneakers too.

Me too. I remember when the Pokemon books first came out. I can vividly recall reading them at school, and thinking I was so cool.

you know i think that was the best part of childhood, the fact that we could do anything we wanted. It was great. Now we have to do school and stuff and it's definately not easy, whereas in primary school, we only had to turn up to pass. good times.

no thanx, sex is too much fun

Exactly. Although, I mean most of the people I have seen posting in the Pokemon thread arent even out of high school yet. Yall think its bad now, wait until yall have bills and children. And Im not talking about helping your parents with your cell phone bills by working part time at the local grocery store. Im talking rent, car payments, insurance, groceries, utilities, the whole nine yards. You think its bad now? Ha. Wait til you get older and then you really wish you were a kid again. But theres so much stuff to do now that Im an adult that it balances out the want to be a child again.
#14
i agree. sometimes i think about how much simpler things were as a kid, and how much fun i had.

Nice. I just remembered that my girlfriend wanted me to watch some Pokemon movie with her earlier today.

AAGGGHHHHH!!!!!

How many nostalgia threads do we need?

I mean, yea, I miss those days as much as the next person, believe me, I do, but do we REALLY need a thread about it every few hours?

Seriously.

I spent all of middle and most of highschool being really shy and not talking to people, so I didnt have many friends. Now that Im in college and actually talk to people, I feel like I wasted the best years of my life.

Sounds like The Hell Song.

Well those days are gone, besides there must be some way to not care like you didn't as a kid, because all the grandmas and grandpas do it.

My best times thus far were 16-18 so make the most of it those who are young enough to not have responsibilities but old enough for sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll!

i agree. before the world took a giant sh!t on you.
but, aside from being less aware, you can still achieve that happiness.

There ain't no moral to this story at all. Anything I tell you very well could be a lie.

I'd rather not, my childhood sucked. Goddamn Colorado.

That's a dumb question, you know everyone in here would buy it too. I know I would!

It kind of sucks, because the kids growing up now aren't aloud to do anything.

Childhood was hit or miss for me. On one hand there was the carefreedness of it, but I also had very few friends, was socially awkward, and everyone hated me. Life is much better now.

yeah very true, i wasn't liked at school, but in my street, i had tons of friends, it was great, so in holidays, weekends and afternoons it was great. so 6 hours a day sucked, but the rest of the time made up for it.
#35
Im much more socially awkward then I used to be... So I guess I miss those less socially awkward days...

Yeah, that's pretty much why my childhood sucked. And also, there's absolutely nothing to do in Colorado.

dude, when you're 21, you're going to miss being 16.

when you're 30, you're going to miss being 21.

when you're 50, you're going to miss being 30.

you should really appreciate being 16 while you still can.

When I was a kid, I was completely oblivious to my own existence. I think people develop self conscioussness as they approach adult hood. I never thought or worried, just played all day.
