I'm considering buying from iTunes Store.
As per usual, I depend on The Pit.

Only answers from those who have / do buy from iTunes.

a) Is it worth it?
b) Do you get everything, like booklets, etc.?
c) With CD' that only have clean versions, do they bleep for censorship?
d) Is there anyway it can go wrong?
e) What methods of payment are there?

Finally, general opinions, experiences, etc.

Thanks guys. Discuss buying from iTunes!

**EDIT**
New question: What's the sound quality, preferably in bitrate?
One would expect 320kbps.

CD's are 10x better. but I can't usually find the band I'm looking for in the cd section at Fred Meyers.... so iTunes is the next best thing. It's not that bad.
I can honestly say I have really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like.

I don't always post on UG, but when I do, I post in the Pit. Stay thirsty my friends.

a. if you just want to music, sure.
b. no, just the song files and a jpeg of the cover art.
c. no clue. I don't think they sell the clean versions on itunes but I could be wrong.
d. maybe if your computer explodes.
e. credit/debit card.

Yes, $1 for songs that are hard to find isn't that bad, and albums tend to be cheaper on iTunes than at the record store. $10 for a Pig Destroyer album on iTunes or drive all the way down to downtown LA to find a record store that'd carry grindcore and fork out $20 for the same album?

Some albums include digital booklets, like when I downloaded Libertad it came with a PDF file of the booklet.

And no, they don't bleep the clean versions.

Well, it could freeze during download, but I'd blame that on your computer or ISP more than iTunes store.

Credit, Debit, Gift Cards.

And I use iTunes store a lot, the only weird thing I've noticed is that a lot of black metal fans apparently like the works of acoustic folk artist Leo Kottke because he always shows up in the ministore "Listeners also bought" for various black metal bands.

SO if Janne and Alexi did a gay porn, would I be the only one willing to buy it?

That's a dumb question, you know everyone in here would buy it too. I know I would!

I get most of my music off iTunes. I don't really notice any audio problems and I only had one song that got screwed up, so everything has been fine for me. The only thing I don't like about it is the DRM protection, but I think you can get rid of that if you burn the files onto a CD.

besides what all the cheap kids say on here, the itunes store is extremely reliable and very vast. It has a tonne of music you most likely wouldn't be able to find in most stores or download. i highly recommend it.

I've actually downloaded a great deal of music from the iTunes Store. Most of the time, the sound quality is pretty good, but not quite as good as CDs mind you. iTunes also tends to be a great source for hard-to-find songs/albums. There's only been a few instances that I haven't been able to find something on there. My only gripe is the damned DRM protection like Castlebravo said. Other than that though, highly recommended.

the drm protection sucks.

the bitrate is 128 i think the new plus is 160. the whole operation blows.

you cant share it. you need authorization to play it on other systems, its overly priced and often the one song you want is album only so you can't even get it.

Torrents ftw. or maybe some other online store that offers better features.

unless your hard drive crashes... then youre SOL.

buy cds. theyre more sharable too.

...
I have no opinion on this matter.

My sister buys off itunes, because she is too retarded to use soulseek, and also is convinced that soulseek only has 'jacks music'. if you are this retarded then yes, buy music off itunes. People that dont download music remind me of that Spongebob episode where he and patrick 'steal' the free balloons
