I bought a Squire Strat several months ago, and my amp seems to have crapped out . Does anyone know a nice cheap amplifier for maybe $160 or under?

EDIT: Fix'd a number.

Cheapest amps worth buying I know of are Roland Microcubes/Vox DA5's...not sure how much they go for though.

For the best tingle, use Original Source mint. That shit feels amazing on your balls.

a used crate between 20 and 40 watts shouldnt cost you much at a pawnshop or something, and i've found every Crate amp i get is pretty good

^I'd let a pro look at it. Once you get into the technicalities of screws...well, it's just a place you don't want to be, friend.

epiphone valve jr, fender champion 600.

if you are just starting out then im sure wattage is not your primary concern, so start off with a nice tube combo.

+.5 to the valve but i think first starting out, versatility is one of the most important things and not tone.
get a microcube or
dare i say, get a 15 watt spider III?

No. No. No.
My friend has this, and it's fizzy, unmusical, and junk.

any amp for that price is garbage, not trying to be an ass but dont get your hopes up. for a begginner just to have something you have no choice.........if you already have an amp then save your money till you get about 500

I'd get a roland Cube, the Valve Junior is nice, but unless you can mod or have an assload of pedals it's pretty much a one trick pony, the Cube can do a bunch of stuff moderately well.
