Oh...ok cool, so how the fuck does this help us tell you what the average is?

I'm beginning to think your too stupid/naive to even be playing anywhere.

i run a wedding band and it makes about £800 ($1600?) per 3.5 hour gig, and i pay about £400 to the other session musicians (eastern europeans and former pupils of mine). Start your own wedding band up!

We have been paid anywhere between 2 bottles of beer and £350. Depends where ya play. Places sometime do different pay options like 10% of till take or a proper DVD of your performance.....

Speak to the manager and hammer out a deal.

What the ****'s wrong with you? It's a legitimate question you dick hole.

And yes, the fact that a single guitarist gets paid $200 might have some bearing on if his band (which consists of more than one person) gets paid more.
And I mean that in the best possible way.

Glad to know there are still some helpful people around here, not like the other idiots who are out to make themselves look like badasses..

Even if you don't get paid go for it. It will give people a chance to discover you on a weekly basis. And who knows who might be eating there?

Dude I got these strings the other day that couldn't be tuned to higher than 4 octaves below middle C then I realized that they were shoelaces and they weren't making any sound at all.

About £150 between 4 of us.

My band gets around £200-250 for about a 3 hour set.

Has the classical guy played there for ages?

If you guys play for something less than him to start with, say 100-150, then if there's a positive reaction to your music ask if you can go up to 200.

If people really like you then see if you can get more.

How many people are in your band?
