Hi, I'm going to be getting a prs se in the next couple of weeks and I'm most likely going to change out the pickups once I have enough money for them. I've been looking at a couple of different ones, mainly dragon II's, hfs vintage/bass, will boggs (heaven and hell ones, firewater, etc...), seymour duncan's, stuff like that. I'm trying to go for more of a Opeth (think Damnation solo's) and Porcupine Tree sound. If anyone could please give me some advice or a good place to look, I would greatly appreciate it.

Why would you change out the pickups as soon as you buy a PRS?!?!

Are you getting one of the $500-$700 budget models?

Nevermind my above post, didn't see the "SE" model name.

Well, not too familiar with Opeth and Porcupin Tree, so don't know the sound...

If you're interested in Duncans though, their website has a tone of info regarding pickup tones....

Better than hooked on crack, I suppose. I'd rather know my kids are safe at home beating their meat than out in the world robbing old women for their crack fix.
