Alright, I have the chance to pick up a NIB Bad Monkey from some "Treasures, Antiques and Musical Things" store. (funny name, I know )

Should I get it?

I hear it's good for tightening up your sound, so.....

I think I will...

Do it.

Good lord. You are amazing.

It's stereo amp, and I don't think it's tube. However, for a stereo amp, it is very good. Don't plug guitar into it; just use it as hi-fi if it works.

sounds like a deal... personally though i would recommend a tubescreamer

Buying a BM at full price is already a great deal. One at half price, That's spectacular!
It's a good pedal. Doesn't slaughter modded tubescreamers, but it is still very good, and probably the best overdrive in it's price range (the BM owns boss SD1's)

Got the bad monkey, love it. Not as versitile as I would like, but at half the price of new I'd say snatch that up before some other lucky person does.

bad monkey is the most versitle tube overdrive ive tried. For the kinda sounds I wanted anyway. But I could see how someone would like another one better. They all kindof have a different thing to them. The bad monkey has that saturated gain type sound when you add it to your overdrive channel. Kinda like the solid state distortion except warm. Which I like.

if you are using that bad monkey with the behringer v tone no wonder you don't think its versitile. Theres no tubes to push!

Analog means not digital. No microprocessors or modeling or other stuff like that.

Damn it!!!!

About 2 weeks ago was when he TOLD me he (guy at store) would sell it for $25, right? Okay, well I went in there again today to see if he would still make the offer and he jacked the ****ing price up to $50!!!! What an asshole!

He said: "it would cost you the same to buy it off the internet with S&H".

**** him! I would't buy it off the internet anyways, there's always Tom Lee's.

Sorry for the rant, but geez, $50 is what you pay at a REAL music store, from there, it won't even have the warranty (he "lost the card" )

I might offer $35, but that's the maximum. (he's a bit flexible )

Whatever though, if not, I'll just buy it at a REAL music store, lol .

(I'm pissed now!! )
