right, i need an amp to practice at home with and be able to do medium gigs with. I play mostly rock and punk and was wondering if 50w would be enough?

im spending around £200- £300 and have been looking at these amps:

http://www.laney.co.uk/show_prod.php?prod=lx65r

i also use a boss gt-5. would it be ok to use with these amps? Any suggestions?

cheers

50 watts is plenty loud. Stay away from the transistor Laney amps. Stick with the Valve ones. The Vox is usable. No need for the GT-5, the Vox has plenty of effects.

Recommendations: Laney VC/LC 30, Peavey Classic series, Crate Palomino series.

Whut? Get the VC30 you dolt

30 watts valve is more than enough to kill you.

Welll actually what music do you play.

The VCs pretty vintagely voiced, sort of a Vox AC30 clone. Not much gain on tap but great cleans.

He plays Rock & P0NX!! Read the second line!

But yeah, I'd say the VC/LC would be good for you TS.
