A few thoughts and questions for those who believe in folk music as much as I do.

What was the minute that you realized the attraction of folk music, and what was it to you?

For me, I remember being in a music class in elementary school and the teacher put on a record of Joan Baez singing Fare Thee Well. When her voice went up so high, the speakers shook and trembled at the awesome force of her voice. I knew that there had to be some truth to this music; it was as if the lonely air of American disappointment was echoing through the tunnels of history. Like she was speaking directly to me. After that, I started to immerse myself in folk music.

What was your experience?
Sincerely, Chad.
