Whats the point of using an effects loop? I have a bunch of pedals, and I just run it through the input. Am I doing the wrong thing? I think the OD sounds way better when directly going to the input.

Also, tell me what you guys think of the Fender Deluxe. I have a VK 112 right now, would a Fender Deluxe be a big upgrade worth the cash??

I hear that things like an EQ are much better through the effects loop.

Are you talking about the Blues Deluxe? I own one and love it.

fx loop is only for certain effects (delay, phaser, chorus, eq). Wah, Distortion, OD, etc all go before the amp.
