Do the Line 6 Spider III 15 and/or 30 have downloadable Custom Tones? apart from the 4 different settings built in?
I was thinking of getting this amp.

My Guitar teacher told me that with a line 6 amp I can go online and download tones for it ( for example if i want megadeth tones i can search megadeth tones and get them submitted by other people ) and put it on the line 6 amp.Is this true? if so, How do I do this.
I need a new amp my old practise amp sounds like crap , and i was thinking of upgrading to a 30W amp, I need suggestions, if not the Line 6 Spider III 30W :P

I have the 30 watt, and no you can't do it. Don't make the mistake I made buying it.. I definitely recommend a different amp. What styles do you have in mind?

Check their site for specific amps that have downloadable towns. If you want another suggestion look at the Vox AD30VT.

Suggestion #1: Don't buy a Spider

Suggestion #2: Try out the following and make an informed choice; Epiphone Valve Junior, Laney LC15, Crate Palomino V8, Vox AD series, Roland Cube series.

Suggestion #3: Don't buy a Spider

The thing is, the small Spiders are fine for low-volume practice tones but even 30W is a total waste of money. If you use it for anything other than practicing at home it'll sound bloody awful ,and if you only plan on practicing at home you're probably better off using high quality software, like Guitar Combos or Amplitube Live.

The Spiders don't support that. Get a POD

First of all, you're much better off with a small tube combo than a Spider. Second, your teacher is wrong. You can't get custom tones with a Spider amp. If you do want to get custom tones, you'll have to buy something like the Line 6 POD XT Live. You can download patches for this and get different tones with it.

You can't do that with a Spider, you can with the POD, but really if you want the flexibility of the the Spider, get the Flextone instead. I wish I had. Either that or get a Roland Cube.

Where are you located? If you're in the US you should thing about going all tube if you can afford it.

I'm considering selling my Spider III 'cause I just can't stand the tone I get out of it anymore.
It's doing my RR3 injustice.

Roland Cube or Guitar Rig 2 for me soon (hopefully)

^ Don't listen to this man/woman, don't get the Spider, there are much better for the price.
