150 watts? What huge gigs are you playing?

or do you just want massive headroom?

I'm hearing a steady *thump thump* from the people above me and I need some porno grooves to play on my bass to give them some background music. Any ideas?

Is that a DSL? 100 or 50watt? imho, the DSL is the best sounding Marshall I've heard in a long time. I have a couple of JCM 800 2204 heads and if I had to replace them, the DSL 50 would the way to go for me, they're very versatile. High Gain for Metal, Crunch for Rock or Plexi-ish (non master)
sounds for some Jazz or Blues, and there is also a bass boost setting for those killer lows!! there is no better sounding 4x12 cab than a Marshall Bottom loaded with G12H or 25watt Greenbacks or V30's
That is the Cab!

$600.00 is a good price if it hasn't been dropped.

Jason Becker Kills it! I seen him a couple of times when he was in Cacophony with Marty Friedman, a true treat!

i really envy you, i would spend any amount of money to see becker live, too bad its impossible. it upsets me that i never will but as long as he is composing music i am tryll happy. to answer your questions its a DSL 100 i have used it in the studio a couple of times and enjoyed it, looking for second opinion and any other suggestions

Even if you don't like it, the resale value is likely to be more than you're going to pay for it. Sell it on if you can (and if you don't like it, of course)

thanks dudes i think ima go with the dsl 100, than ks for all ur suggestinos and stuff =)

Bad idea man, the newer marshalls arent worth it if you buy em new in USA. I would reccomend the Mesa Stiletto or the Mesa F-30. Much better tone for what you are looking for.
