The title says it all

what guitar are they going in?
what styles do you play?
what pickups do you have currently?
what's your budget?
what amp do you have?
what is it about your tone that you don't like?
what kind of tone are you hoping to achieve with a pickup swap?

...now it says it all.
Actually called Mark!

If you've got cheaper gear, Iommi. EMGs sound awful with anything less than very high end gear.

If you can justify them though with a proper (touring-quality) amp and guitar though, EMGs win by a long way for most metal (which is what I'm assuming you want them for).

Can you whack that in your sig or something? I'm sick of having to repeat every time, 'twould be lovely...

And TS, if you want to change your tone, change your amp.

If you have a cheapish solid state (ie not a Randall or anything), avoid EMGs, as they will sound like poo.
