I did a quick search, couldn't find anything in the first few pages, so here it is.

List any guitar players, and preferably links to videos, that you think get TOO into it.

I know it's not necessarily a bad thing putting all your emotion into playing, but when it is overdone, it usually looks pretty damn amusing.

I'll start.

Johnny Demarco.

It's a roland Cube 60 demo, but he does some pretty interesting things in it.

I already implied that in my original post. Please refrain from spamming in this thread, I'd like to see where it could go.

Instead of having 75% of the posts in here shooting down the concept of using too much emotion, how about we actually post guitar players and videos that are funny to watch. I didn't saying being extremely into your playing was bad, I simply said it's amusing to watch. Soooo...

Back on track please!

I've never seen Vai playing in a video or anything, I'll check him out.

There ain't no moral to this story at all. Anything I tell you very well could be a lie.

SRV and Joe Walsh are a gold mine of hilarious facial expressions. There was a GREAT one of Joe Walsh in a guitar a few months back that looked like his jaw had come unhinged. Vai always looked cool playing to me...

David Gilmour... Less than Johnny DeMarco, but I like Johnny and hate David Gilmour...

Just so you know, my opinion makes about as much sense as this thread... Little to none!

Well, when I saw Thirteen Senses last year their guitarist kept bursting into tears mid song. Maybe he was just having a really bad day.

Angus Young? I love Angus and I don't think he uses "too much" emotion but I figured someone had to bring him up.
