With locking trem guitars, I remember reading somewhere that they advise you to go outsides to insides, starting with the low E (i.e low E, high E, A, B, D, G)

Edit: Sorry, I put that for putting them onto the guitar, didn't read thread properly.

I do the opposite when taking them off i.e inside out.

i take em all off
then i clean my guitar thoroughly
and i get a razor blade and scrape all the dead skin off the frets
then i just put new ones on

I always take them all off, take all the stuff off the guitar, clean it and then put them on from low to high

A razor blade?! And take the coating and finish off your neck too? Not for me

Just use lemon oil, let it soak and then wipe with a cloth, or if you have a treated maple fretboard, use a damp cloth and make sure you dry it with a towel to avoid rusting the frets. And I say damp, not too wet

im VERY gentle
and its only occasionally
and i just hate having all the dead skin on my frets
if your careful enough nothing gets damaged

i use a pair of aviation snips and cut all the strings at once, then i usually put on low to high
