Just got a Schecter, love the tone and such. But, what are you peoples views on it? Shredder guitar yes/no? The neck does feel a bit thicker. So what kind of music is this guitar REALLY good for?

My things:
Bowes SLx7
Washburn WG587
Washburn X40Pro
Washburn X50
Washburn HM24
Washburn WR150
Laguna LE200s

I have the Schecter Gryphon it took me very little time to adjust to the slightly larger neck than the starter pack Ibanez I was using but it feels fine to me now, but I'm no Steve Vai either.
My Gear

Schecter Gryphon with Seymour Duncan JB Bridge and Jazz Neck PU's
Fender Superchamp XD Amp

Which Schecter do you have?

I have an S-1 Blackjack and I play mostly clean stuff.

^I'd let a pro look at it. Once you get into the technicalities of screws...well, it's just a place you don't want to be, friend.

NICE. Those are very good for metal leads, what with the active pups, 24 fret neck, and other assorted whatnot (OFR on the FR model)

Ibanez RG3120 Prestige (Dimarzio Titans)

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

I haven't played a schecter in about a month (it was the C-1 classic), but they would definitely be a good shred guitar. IMO a jackson or an ibby would be better, but they aren't bad.
