I just saw an ad on t.v. with the manics doing a cover of one of the worst song ever written, rihanna's umbrella. Is anyone else ****ing pissed off about this.

As far as I'm concerened, if their cover of it was good, then I don't see any issue. Just because they cover a song which is out of their genre and not that popular doesnt mean you should be pissed off about it

i'm pissed off because a band wit that much talent should not stoop that low to get attetion

How is it stooping low? Surely covering a hit track and doing it better is a good thing, not some sort of desperate need for attention

It's a pretty safe bet that Umbrella was just as, if not much more, popular than anything Manic Street Preachers have done.

actually i thought they made the song half decent
it's the only time i've ever actually listened to umbrella all the way through and the manics seem to make it vaugely bearable
