hey guys, a guy offered me an ibanez rosewood neck for 45$ shipped. Sound like a good deal? Theres only a couple of dings on it. It was made in JUN 97, so it might be made in japan, but he sanded down the back of the neck already, to give it a better feel, so he doesnt know the serial number. Thanks!

whenever you say he removed the serial number, all i could think was PASS

lets be honest, probably POS and he removed the serial number to try to hide it

where did you say it was a wizard neck? you said rosewood. My ibanez Gio had a rosewood fingerboard

yea theres no reason to sand a serial off the back of a headstock if he was trying to make the neck smoother and have a better feel to it

What does the logo look like?

Also, if you want to sand down the neck, why the hell would you sand the headstock.

45$ for a Japanese neck isn't bad, but keep in mind it can just as well be a non-japanese one plus he has altered it.
You've read it, you can't un-read it!

.
Yeah I don't see why he sanded down the headstock either. My guess is that maybe the whole back of the neck had a clear coat, and when he sanded down the back of the neck it looked stupid to leave the headstock clear coated?
