hey im starting to build my first guitar and im going to be making a strat, i'm using maple for the neck with and ebony fretboard, and i was wondering what kind of wood im going to use for the body and what kind of pick ups to get the best sound. I was thinking of using basswood with humbuckers but it wouldnt be much of a strat replica if i put humbuckers on it. Does anyone here know any good combonations of wood and pick ups that i should use??
