Hi everyone. I have a crappy solid state Marshall MG50DFX and I was wondering if an MXR 10-band equalizer would improve it? I am not expecting it to sound like a tube amp, but I just wanna know if I can make that thing a little better?
it will make it a little better, but it'll still sound sterile, fizzy and lifeless.
I used mine on my Marshall VS100 when i had it and it did sound alot better. More so because i could tweak it to my liking and try and mask some of the issues with bad sound quality... Plus generally a EQ is a pedal for life as i call it. You always need one and never get rid of it... Unlike most distortion and other pedals you have laying around.
Alright thanks IbanezPsycho, you've been very helpful
