I'm having a hard time removing the knobs on my guitar. I have a Yamaha AES620HB. Search images if you want.

try the opening up the routing in the back of the guitar to find the pots

EDIT: assuming that your guitar has that cover

I already removed the cover that hides the pots. Now how do I remove the knobs?

The underside of the knob is a few mm within the body. No way can I get under it.

use the t-shirt method, it's the safest to the finish of ur guitar. take a thin shirt and put it under that lil space and wrap it all around the knob, then pull up. if it doesn't work for u ur doing it wrong, so keep at it till ya get it aiight?

Is there a small slotted screw in a small hole in each knob?

If so, there you go.

If not, you'll have to find something to stick under the knob to pry it up off the pot shaft.

Got a baby spoon?

I used a screwdriver. It's alright now.

please take my expirience into consideration. last time i used a flathead, i ended up chipping the edge of the knob. DON'T do it if you don't wanna chip them!!! use a t-shirt and you wont threaten ANYTHING ....well....other than the shirt

It's impossible to take a tshirt and wrap it under the knob. Well, on mine anyways.

if you can get a screwdriver under it you can get a shirt under it. you dont have to get both the back and front side of the shirt under it , just ONE side, stretch it out and THEN put it under.

now if THAT doesnt work then i guess ur rite, but im almost convinced it should work!!

thanx for at least considerin my advice bro!

Anyways, I'm changing the pot of the bridge pup to a 250k pot. I also wanna change the neck pup to be a bit brighter. The neck pup is made by Yamaha. All I know about it is it's warm, and it's alnico.

EDIT: I meant to change the pots in the neck pickup.
