shouldn't pop punk be with punk, and EMO with hardcore? cuz isn't emo (emotional hardcore) a branch from hardcore punk?

Emo sounds like Punk, but Emo=/=Punk

Your one of the few people who got that one right lonewolf, i hate when people understand that emo branched off of hardcore, also that emo isn't existant anymore, i don't know wtf people THINK emo is, but it certainly is NOT what is played today

I love emo, and i love what is played today, it does have a ton of emotion, but its far from what emo is. EEmo died in the late 80's to early 90's

But yes what people think emo is, is a glamed out version of pop-punk, with more clashing guitars and instruments, rather than pop-punk, whch tends to lean into melody

Cut my wrists and black my eyes. Blame pop-rock.
