Panic at the disco's lyrics are awesome on some songs (build god then we'll talk, but it's better if you do) and on others they are sorta iffy. Like, "When I say shotgun you say wedding!" Maybe I'm missing something, but i don't see why that makes any sense.

If you knew what a shotgun wedding was then it would make sense.

Bright eyes most definatly. It's pretty much all the music and not over produced. Superb songwriting.

Jesse Lacey, this has already been said and will be said like 100 more times, but it's true.

People shouldn't need to say it over and over again.

It's

First person I though of...

No.

Tim Kinsella seems like a great writer, but I really think he takes hits of LSD before he writes.

I think Ben Gibbard is very underrated. I'm not even a big DCFC fan, but some of his lyrics are indcredible. Transatlanticism is prolly one of my favorite songs (lyric-wise)

But

Aaron Weiss is leagues ahead of anyone and everyone in the Emo community. Yes, my extreme gay tendencies for him might hold a bias, but he is undeniably one of the best writers in music.
And if ever You come near, I will hold up high a mirror.
Lord, I could never show you anything as beautiful as You.

Agree with everything except the Tim Kinsella remark.

He's clearly on crack.

I'll just put down the obvious ones to get them out of the way:

Jesse Lacey
Conor Oberst
Geoff Rickley
Adam Lazarra/John Nolan

Lesser known:

Tim Kasher
Aaron Weiss
Vinnie Caruana

And finally the most criminally underrated pp/e writer ever Nick Torres, who is as good, if not better, than everyone on that list.
