What do you guys think?

How would an Ibanez Tubescreamer sound when paired up with a Boss Ds-1?


I was thinking of this combo so whenever I go and get a "heavy" distortion pedal..

Should I go with this.. or just get a regular heavy dist. pedal?

And yes...I know the Tubescreamer is an overdrive

No you should not go with a TS and a DS-1 for heavy distortion. You should just use the tube screamer on your VK's driven channel (IMHO, Ds-1 sounds terrible). If not grab a tube driven pedal like a Vox Bulldog distortion or a Damage Control Solid Metal
