Hey. I couldn't really tell where this post belonged, so I just put it here, thinking it's kind of about gear. Sort of. Hope that's okay. Anyway, I have a question I'm sure you will all tell me is very stupid, but I really don't know so I'm just going to ask it. I was reading this article that said if you have a lacquered fretboard, you shouldn't oil it. How do I tell if I have a lacquered fretboard? Thanks.

Look at your guitar body. If it looks all reflective and what not then its lacquered. Come on dude its a bit of logic that you need to use not much.

Then almost certainly not, generally only maple fingerboards are lacquered.

I'm not trying to tell if the body is lacquered. I'm well aware of that. I'm talking about the fretboard.

I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.
