i always see guitarists combining tapping with sweep arpeggios, but dont know where they get them from.

any one have any links for tabs/exercises
anything???

i mean like not actually picking, just tapping up and down the arpeggio, i saw tony mcalpine do it while doing a call and response with vai.

Whatever sounds good, thats what I do. I experiment and try to find a note the sounds good.
