it shouldnt break the nut, if ur using a floating trem, u might have to adjust your springs though

umm ya it actually will

u can take it to a guitar shop and they can widen the spaces on the nut so that it isnt put under as much stress and it will be fine for the thicker strings
They had to do the same thing to my epi but the nut had already broken.

If the strings are drop tuned the nut should be fine, I use the same strings on one of my guitars and I think they sound great when they are in drop C.

YOU MAY HAVE TO DO SOME FILING OF THE NUT FOR THOSE STRINGS TO FIT PROPERLY, ALSO MOST IBANEZ GUITARS ARE STRUNG WITH 9 TO 42s OR 10 TO 46s. 60 ON THE TOP IS A BIG STEP. YOU´LL HAVE TO ADJUST YOUR TREM SPRINGS FOR SURE.

.060 is a pretty big E string, on a 10-60 set there's a good chance the bottom 2 or 3 strings won't fit the nut properly. You will probably need to make the string slots wider for the wound strings.

60 is a pretty large string for the low E, its possible you would have to have the slot where the string sits widened. You may have to have the truss rod adjusted seeing as thats a pretty hefty string. The largest I ever use for the low E is 48.

-Jackson DXMG (SH-2N, SH-6)
-Schecter Hellraiser C1 (18v)
-Ibanez XPT707FX (Blackouts)

Well what string gauge are you changing from?
You'll have to widen the nut slot for sure on the wound strings,
I had to do that yesterday when I put my .62 on from .56.
