you pick them up by the handle. place them in your vehicle of choice. drive to destination. take out of vehicle and place at spot of performance.

So we had a music battle, copying what each other did and upping the ante and whatnot. After awhile of going nowhere, I said to the pianist "let's see you do this, asshole" played a single note... and bent it up a step. And left.

*insert lol wut pear*

on topic:
1. get it in car
2. drive to gig
3. get you and a mate to take amp to wherever abouts your playing
its cant be so heavy that two people cant carry it, if its a head and cab do it seperatly.

jesus christ how hard can it be to work that out?

agreed. If its more than about 60-70 pounds though, I would get casters to make moving it around a bit easier.
#16
Stick it in my car, watch the suspension struggle a bit, then drive very slowly to the venue, cue help from GF/drummer/other bandmate to help carry.
#17
Hire a bunch of midgets as roadies

40-60lbs is pretty light for a good amp if its a combo. Some amp heads alone are 50lbs and a 412 is probably a good 100lbs (so its likely going to be a two person job). As long as you don't have to walk far, I'm sure you could at least carry a 60+lb combo for a few feet and then roll it around on casters.

My cab weighs 175 pounds in it's road case. The head weighs 85 in it's case. I lug that thing twice a week. It's my workout!

The hotbar should be floating parallel to the principle axis at this point. Next, take a hammer, and beat yourself in the face while crying JIHAD. problem fixed.

I'm guessing you've never tried lifting a 50 watt Tube amp?

Cuz the heavy ones weigh roughly 100-120 lbs.

As for the question in hand, I like to put the things in a car and drive them to the gig in question, take them out and carry them to the stage and such.

Well yeah, especially the dead ones, but properly motivated they can work well.
