I'm looking at this bad boy - Linky

An all-maple resonator with a proper spun cone as opposed to a pressed one for £200? I'm guessing it's so cheap because they only sell on eBay so there's no retailer cuts being factored into the price.

I was just wondering if anyone owns/has played a Moondog guitar and if it's any good?

Enjoy occasionally controversial ramblings related to guitars? I have a blog which meets these criteria.

1. If its solid maple, it will have a darkish tone (I think) and be really really heavy (e.g. a Les Paul just has a Maple top and Mahog back and is almost always 10-15 lbs).

2. It looks great, and I've played a guitar like that before (with the steel plate thingy) and it sounded great. Go for it...
