I am thinking of buying a guitar to use to learn on the side of my Bass playing, I am thinking either an Epiphone SG (which model I'm not sure) or an Epiphone Explorer (Black), I like metal, hard rock and similar. Which one would you guys recommend?

Explorer is the rawk, but the SG has a thinner neck ususally.

My dear man, I must petition you for photographic evidence, or the described events cannot be verified, and will be written off as fallacy.

Oh yeah forgot to mention, I'm gonna have to detune this thing to drop C every-so-often, will the Explorer be okay to put 10 Gauge strings on?
