Hi, I've been thinking of making my own Jackson from Warmoth parts. I want it to look like this (yes, it is inspired by Buckethead's Y2KV)

What do you guys think?
Be cool.

depends on how well you build it :S

i had the same idea cept the red detail goes around he outside as a pin-stripe effect, looks awsome good luck!

EDIT: even down to the single humbucker and the reverse headstock! what wood are you gonna use and what pick-up?

Yeah, I loved Buckethead's colour scheme, along with the reverse headstock and no inlays on the fretboard. But I am a huge fan of the RR body style so i decided I would use that one.
Be cool.

It seems to be missing a pick-up...

Anyways Good luck with that, And BH rules, listening to him right now. And maybe, just maybe put in a fernandes sustainer in the neck? Just a suggestion. It'll open up new possibilies

I'm probably going to go with a DiMarzio of some sort. Then for the wood, probably the same kind they use in the USA Select Jacksons, which is alder I think. Here is a rough list of the specs I intend for it to have:

-24 fret ebony fretboard probably a 25.5" scale
-Original Floyd Rose
-Gotoh Tuners
-DiMarzio
-Alder body

I was also thinking of doing another colour scheme, tell me which one you guys like better. The original, or this one with kind a of a vintage creme colour. I thought it would accent the red more nicely I also put white binding on it.

looks good, i would have shark tooth fretz and have the reverbed red V lines in the middle of that red straight line!

now that u canged it to cream it looks really really stupid......i like the guitar shape but ur killing jackson rhoads guitars for me especially since ur making it into a bucket head guitar...dude someone tell me how that is not hideous
signatures suck...

I think the pure white one looks better. It'll get creamier with age anyway.

But yeah, racing stripes are awesome

edit: ^ pfff, ever heard of the eighties? This is what RRs should look like.
