most mastodon is in d standard, except when they drop just the top string down to A on a couple songs.

The Weak Willed by All That Remains.

Practically every song by All That Remains is in D standard. Though some of them are playable in Drop D.

Basically the entire Scream Aim Fire album by BFMV
Six -- All That Remains
Serpentine Offering -- Dimmu Borgir
Bladecatcher -- Mastodon

I could also use some help in this category. Any other good metal bands that play in this tuning or in Drop-C?

Testament play a lot in D. And it sounds awesome if you play with the kind of tone they have on First Strike Still Deadly.
My name is Marc! Silly username.

Symphony X plays a lot of songs in D standard: Inferno (Unleash the Fire), Out of the Ashes, Sea of Lies, etc.
Motley Crue - Same Old Situation
Pantera - I'm Broken
From D standard you can also drop the D to C & play songs by Killswitch Engage, Shadows Fall, Disturbed (on their Ten Thousand Fists CD), Atreyu, Hatebreed & a whole ton of other bands
