Just got the 6505 combo, wondering if you can use power attenators with combos? It says it goes between speaker output and cabinet on the description of the THD hotplate, it doesnt say anything about combos, however. Is it possible?

for some combos yes. if you can take the speakers off from the amp, yes. if not, no.

yes, you can use it if the speakers aren't soldered to the amp output wires.
they aren't in my 5150, your 6505 is probably the same way.
take the back cover off and take a look.
