Hey Ugers, I'm planning on getting a new amp within the next few months or so. I'm having a hard time deciding what amp I should get.

I play hard rock, metal, some clean acoustic stuff, and well any kind of rock basically. Band that inspire me are...Godsmack, Breaking Benjamin, Nirvana, Everclear, Metallica, and more.

Now I've tried the VOX AD50vt at guitar center, it sounded great to my ears, I enjoyed the built in effects on it too, but I just got a Digitech RP70 so I have all the desired effects right now (I know the RP70 sounds generic at times but hey).

Crate FlexWave...

I'm pretty much looking for anything around $300-$400. Tube amp or solid amp, tubes would be a plus. At least 50watts, but more is great also.

Feel free to suggest other amps but only if you think they are better and meets my standards. I really like the looks of half stacks, so if you know of any in my price range that are good please let me know.

Thanks.

get a cheap marshall... my MG15DFX has a button that simulates the sound of one of the expensive tube marshall amps.

ValveKing 112 is the best you can do in that pricerange. Stay away from all Marshall MG's, Line6 Spiders and Crate Flexwaves.
Epiphone G-400
GFS Crunchy PAF - Bridge

DigiTech Bad Monkey
iSP Decimator

I tested a Roland Cube 60 today and I was really impressed, I wasn't expecting to be impressed at all to be honest it took me by suprise! Anyone got any thoughts on Randall RX75D? Looks pretty good on paper and fits into this budget (solid state though)?
