Love the American Football very much! Thanks for your input. What do you think about an AC15 which is around the same price as a Delta Blue.

And these amps, do they have the flexibility if I do want to go on distortion (not fulll blown distortion, but a respectable ammount).

Nah, the Vox AC15 is horse****. Nothing like an AC30. The Peavey would do the AC30 vibe much better.

I'd go used, anyway. More bang for your buck. Just make sure the tubes were changed recently, or haven't gotten much use.

The Peavey Dela Blues is easier to get some lighter overdrive from than an AC30, and sounds great. Plenty of headroom for gigs, too. I'd get one myself, if I had need for a lighter rock amp. I'm digging the hard rock scene right now, though.

A few good Indie artists play VOX.

I don't know if you can get something like an AC30 for your budget, but I think that's a great start to a good tone, Indie or otherwise.

I was snooping around Musiciansfriend and came across two Delta blues (115 and a 210) at about $640. Now if I were to look for a used one, do you think one 15" speaker would be better or dual 10"? As you can see I know absolutely **** about amps and any input would be nice :p.

^^It can be done. Like I said, Peavey Delta Blues.

Here's a few vids to give you an idea of how the Delta Blues sounds:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lw1sR2nEAyM - Using EMGs, so not ideal...but still.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2pQIwiPKAI8 - using a fuzz face for the dirty parts...But the intro is nice.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Og8VHpvCyNg - Nice demo, during the clean parts. He's using a Fulldrive for the dirty bits.

Umm...I believe I've only tried the 15" version, which sounds GREAT.

I'd imagine the 10" might not have as much bottom end, probably a little bit more punchy and mid-rich. I like 2x10" configs, myself. You'll never get lost in the mix with the punch and mids they have.

Thank you guys so much! I'm definitely looking for Delta Blues and Ac30s (willing to spend a couple hundred more if it's a good deal). Couple of last questions, is the tone from the first video doable with a Tele+Delta Blues and do you have any other amp recommendations?

^Umm...That tone is probably achievable with a boost pedal - just something to drive the front end of the amp hard.

Other amps? Hmm...Peavey Classic 30 is worth a look. Check out those vids on Youtube.
Traynor YCV40's have great cleans that OD nicely when driven with a booster.

Don't forget to try these amps out, too. Your ear is the biggest test when it comes to choosing an amp.

Good luck, and let us know how it goes.
