Im doing an assignemnt in college and i need to write about a genre in specific dates, ive done Blues for Pree 1960's, Punk for 1960-70's, Glam rock for 70's-90's and now ive got to do one on a genre made in the year 2000+.

From asking other people there has been confusion with this, i dont mean what year they were popular or when they were mainstream, just when they were established.

Thanks guys.

I don't think anything original has been invented from 2000 onwards, just reinvented/reinterpreted.

no real new genre that has stood out from the crowd, unlike the past decades

but you could write about the emo generation/fad/trend/misconception

then there is metalcore,

and emotronic lol

That could be the single most logical, helpful response ive ever gotten from UG.
Thank you very much.

Nintendocore or whatever its called. That seemed to crop out in the past few years, but it might have been going on earlier just people were sane in the 90s and ignored it.

Why do we feel it's necessary to yak about bullsh*t in order to be comfortable?

That's when you know you found somebody special. When you can just shut the f*ck up for a minute, and comfortably share silence.
