this may be a stupid question ... ive recently bought a brand new strat body and am wondering is u need to sela it befor u start painting. If so any links for sealer would be great.

I'm no expert, but from what I understand, you seal it AFTER you paint it. I'm pretty sure you PRIME it before painting.

I'm only about 85% sure.

yes, sealer first...it'll make a flat surface (no grain lines) for the paint to go on top of

Is the body just bare wood or does it have something on it?

If it is bare wood then yes it will need sealing.

Thrall sealer goes on before any additional painting.

it sands really easy, I've used paint brushes when I do it, I'm guessing you could, but it isn't worth it
