Me and my friend could make whatever we wanted in our woods class, and were going to make a Gibson Les Paul, not an actual one, obviously...but we need the measurements for a real Gibson Les Paul, so we can know what size wood we will need, please tell me, thanks!

I'm actually interested in the measurements too if someone has them offhand.
Otherwise, I'll just head to a local shop and get them.

What I have so far is this:
Body:Top to bottom 17 1/4

Widest point on bottom 12 7/8

Narrowest point 7 3/8

Widest point on top 9 1/4
That should help you TS

If anyone has the distances between these measurements though, it would be greatly appreciated.
Go to a guitar store and trace one

Hmm, I'd love to see someone attempt that in any of the guitar shops near mine...

Anyway, why would you make an exact copy of a Les Paul when you could make any shape you want? For a Gibson style guitar you'll need a body blank of around 22" x 14" x 2", and I sugggest finding a mate with an LP to get a rough idea of the body design.
