Hi, recently my dad was telling me that my grandpa, a band director, used to play a guitar called a Fascinator. I am told it is stored somewhere in the house in somewhat decent shape. I went on the internet to find out more about how much its worth, and where I can get it repaired. All I have been able to find out is that it was an entry level guitar for the average musician produced by Gibson. If anyone has further info could you please share it with me. How much is it worth now and would it be worth the time and money to restore it? I'm going to spend this week looking for it and maybe post a picture if it would help. Thanks.

From what I've heard, Fascinator was a brand that Gibson produced guitars for. More than likely, it was their B-stock stuff.

As far as collectability is concerned, I haven't seen one of these. Ever. You'd have quite a bit of luck if you gave us a photo and more detailed information. Some numbers would help, as well.

I know how you feel. I have a cheap mandolin of my mom's somewhere in the attic (no-name laminate; not worth diddley).
Sincerely, Chad.
