Does anyone know if there's a way to get an audio file from a youtube video? That would mean, taking a video, and somehow getting only the audio track in a listenable format. Thanks.

if you have a mac like me Try Wiretap. it might be on PCs too. It records anything thats coming out of your speakers.

Download that program and it can record anything that your sound card is playing. Read the directions on how to use it cuz it's kinda odd, but it definitely works. I've used it a bunch of times to record songs off a band's myspace page and stuff.

you should get wiretap anyway. its ****in sick, want a song on a myspace or a bands website, its yours. thats how i got a bunch of hard to find Frank Zappa songs.

Yeah, audacity will do the same thing too, and is free. I dunno if wiretap is or not.
