As some of you may know I've been bitching about my Triple Rec saying it's not tight enough, but I do love the bass on it. I'm gonna try out an Engl Powerball today in London, any of you tried them out before, and how do they compare to the Triple Rec? Bearing in mind I'm going for the black album sort of tone

Yeah I tried one alongside the Triple Rec, and it blew it out of the water in every way
I'm going to be buying one as soon as I can, they're incredible

a mesa might actually be better for a black album tone.
I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.
