He was my favorite player for quite some time.

****ing dinosaur, though.
My style is impetuous.
My defense is impregnable, and I'm just ferocious.

Bret is pretty old, and being a quarterback in your fourties cannot be easy. He is definately Hall Of Fame material, even tho he isnt a personal favorite of mine. I wonder which network he's gonna be an analyst for? Thats a very logical next step for him i think.

I'm glad he got to get a great season in before he retired.

He had 16 amazing years, i will miss him. He is my favorite player and i have been a long time Packers fan. Hopefully Aaron Rodgers will be able to take his place. I am glad he went out with many records and a wonderful season. And BTW he is not in his 40's yet.

I honestly couldn't believe this when I heard, considering he's been the face of the packers for a while now. He did say that his final goal was to win a superbowl but poor guy couldn't make it again.

Coming sincerely from a Chicago Bears superfan, I have the utmost respect for his choice and am sorry to see him leave.

since this season was so good, he would want to quit on a high note rather than leaving in shame.

I was actually wondering that, a packer fan/friend of mine thinks they should and I agree.

Retiring after throwing away the NFC Championship isn't exactly leaving on a high note

But I guess he got the records he wanted as well as a SB ring. Might as well and let the young Packers move on.

I am a huge Packer fan, hence the username, but i don't find his retiring that sad. He had an amazing career, and Aaron Rodgers is a more than competent backup.
