i just bought a mesa boogie triple rectifier head which is 150 watts. im in the process of building a cab to go along with it. this will contain 4 celestion 60 w speakers.

here is my problem

is it alright to play this 150 watt head through my 120 watt cab, especially at shows?

It's risky. You can probably get away with it if you don't go very high volume- wise, but it's still a bad idea.

not a good plan.

just get a good cab.

and their pretty cheap since thier not too well known.

Mesas tend to put out a lot more power than they're rated for when they start distorting, so even if your cab was rated for 150 watts it'd be risky to play too loud.

Also, doesn't 4x60 = 240? Unless you're wiring them in parallel I guess.

i'd assume they would be parallel, check out some vadar cabs too
