i dont play anything less than a 1 mm. i have a 1.14 in my hand right now :-)

but i dunno, i use medium fender picks for acoustic stuff, i think thats pretty normal.

I use 1mm Pickboy Carbon Nylons. They're great, not bendy at all.
And they've got a marijuana leaf on 'em.

Depends on the style you play.

Harder music is generally better with stronger, thicker picks.
#9
so i do play harder so tortex maybe .88s?

Stevie Ray Vaughan used Fender medium picks, so do I, so I guess they can't be that bad. I don't like the lighter picks as they're too bendy for me and I don't like the thick ones as they don't flex enough. I do play with the rounded end and have the point going into my hand, ala SRV. That's who I learned from (from mags and books).

Dunlop makes these picks with a Gator head on 'em that are supposed to be infused with talc or something so they have a bit of grip even when your sweating. I've used them. They're pretty cool. I like them better than celluloid and other shiny-smooth pics.

They're harder to drop.
