I'm asking this pretty much out of pure curiosity. I'm pretty sure he used his unique telecaster but I could be wrong. As for the amp, which wah and whatever else he may have used, I have no idea.

In this 1970 video, he uses a Fender Strat with a Wah pedal, probably a crybaby but I'm not sure. I don't think that he started using his customized/decorated tele until '71 or '72.(Albumwise, I don't think that he had the tele until Chicago III or V.) His primary guitars in their early years were strats and SGs, though he also used an LP Professional and some acoustic. I don't know what kind of amp he uses. During his later years, he became affiliated with Pignose amps.
