Have any of you all seen it really change someone?I mean goingfrom a perfectly nice and normale happy guy into a complete paranoid and irrational psycho in about a year ?Almost to the point where they weren' t even the same person at all?And did people(even acquiantances )notice the change? How do you think it affected other people?
#2
It really changed *me*. Just about exactly how you described it.
Yes, everybody noticed. Nobody said anything, though. I have no idea if it affected them.

I knew a guy who was on straight A's at school, really intelligent guy, got hooked on drugs, went to uni and came out with a 3rd.

Alcohol can put you into a pile of ****. Weed... I haven't heard anything specific about it, but it could lead to more intense drugs like cocaine and LSD, which can have long lasting effects like memory loss and paranoia, plus the added dependance on it and the addiction factors.

A kid I went to school with for nine years is in rehab for meth, another I met more recently in for cocaine, several arrested for dealing. Everybody noticed the change, and it really affected their friends and families.

Drugs change everyone they touch, just most addicts refuse to admit it. It's a dark road to go down. Heroin and acid are really bad, weed is worse because it's cheap and not as destructive right away so people binge on it because they think it's cool. Alcohol is a killer, easy to spot addicts. Nicotine is a lung destroyer and people who are addicted are so dependent it's pathetic. I've seen acid hallucinations, cocaine junkies, ecstasy burn-outs, just about every one out there, but meth is the absolute worst. Instant destruction of the brain, reasoning skills, emotional instability. Just avoid drugs period.

my friend who moved about a year ago was a pretty big junkie and i guess he's just gotten worse and worse. he was addicted to cocaine at the beggining of the year, according to the people who talk to him, and the last i heard, he was on meth.

it can happen and it happens pretty often but for most people, it's not that bad

Sometimes, I masturbate while imagining my girlfriend is ramming her knee up into my precious orbs. It turns me on so much.

Actually, that's not true. I don't have a girlfriend

Not necessarily... one of my friends starting smoking pot in fifth grade and shooting up in sixth. I know this for a fact. He went to juvie after seventh grade and then got clean.

I've seen my best friend change in exactly the way TS described. It sucked, and she realized it and slowed down. She still does stuff but is now actually able to function without drugs.

I'm always somewhat changing like that. Not abruptly, not dramatically, and not completely, but it's happening. The thing is, all of my friends are like "ZOMG DRUGS R STOOPID THEY KILL JOO" and go on this entire health-class rant. It's like... yeah, I know... I know exactly what I'm doing to my body and the consequences and I accept that. Just, other people can't and that pisses me off. They have to insert themselves into my own lifestyle and try to govern my choices when I know what I want. Then they just write me off as a worthless druggie, which I'm not. They compare me to people who basically live for weed- which I don't- and people who pretend to live for weed (believe me, I know one- I can't fucking stand her) and they automatically decide that I have no future and am not worth hanging out with. They do this without even really talking to me about it. Raaaah.

Moderation.

When it comes to marijuana, it can be used artistically since it pretty much opens your mind and its not addictive.

Alcohol is a serious hard drug, yet its so understimated.

The ones you should stay completly off are of course the hard drugs:
-Alcohol
-Cocaine/Crack
-Heroin
-Methamphetamines
-Pills (Uppers, Downers)
-Prescription Medicine leads to more problems
-LSD aka Acid (can really change personality over-time, during bad trips it ****s up your mind, but wont endanger your health).

But goddamn when I think about it almost every great musician or band did some kind of drug.

The Beatles, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Led Zeppelin, Elvis Presley, Ozzy Osbourne, Guns n' Roses, Metallica etc? Marijuana, LSD, Alcohol, Cocaine among others... You mention it.

"But then again If I were a rockstar, I would not mind doing all the drugs in this world."

it messes up your life. i used to have a group of friends. all really close and such, then everyone started doin drugs and no one talks anymore. some of em quit and just didnt want to be around the others that still do it. and the ones that still do it are 19-20 workin at krogers to support thier habbit. 2 of my friends and me got out of it and are in college tryin to do sumthin with ourselves, everyone else is just fixed on getting f*cked up

I know a girl who's very heavily into drugs. She started taking anything she could get her hands on before I met her, so I don't know what she was like before the drugs, but I've seen her steadily get worse and worse. I find her rather intolerable these days. She can't even be a pleasant person unless she's snorted something or cooked up.
#28
use of substance is fine in moderation. and some people aren't changed by it at all. but when it does change someone, it changes them a lot. i know people who will probably have no future because they got out of control. but i know people who do drugs who are fuctioning members of society.
Looks like someone woke up on the wrong side of the cake this morning!

yeah, that's an inside joke. i made it different colors and sizes to be obnoxious...

LSD isn't addictive.

And it's stupid to say that smoking weed can lead on to other harder drugs. WTF? That's the person's own choice, with a little thing called "self-control" you can avoid doing things like that. Are you saying the majority of people living in Holland all suffer from memory loss, paranoia and addiction? Somehow, I think not.

Some lucky people don't get addicted to hard drugs at all. They can do LSD, Cocaine, and all that, and still be a physicist or a radical math theorist.

The people I know, that change for the bad are usually in the dumps already, leading a bleak life. I guess it really boils down to moderation, what's going on in the person's life and self control. But don't quote me on that.

I have a friend who has this boyfriend who is a complete bum and messed up all the time on drugs. He got her into all of this **** that i didnt want to see her do and it really did change her. She is a lot more stubborn and won't listen to anybodies advice. I've been through the whole addiction thing despite the fact that her situation wasnt as bad as mine. I just usually chill over at the house to make sure she is careful with what she does because unlike me and my use, she uses absolutely no discretion which has potential to result in an OD. Oh and if you're wondering what exactly she is getting into its hydro, coke, and oxy. But yeah i still do it not trying to sound hypocritical in anyway but i never wanted her to get into these things she doesnt know when to stop and when i tell her she has had too much she just yells at me now....the whole thought of her getting hooked on the **** just made me cry.....

It's impossible for weed to **** up your life unless you're really ****ing stupid, it's not even addictive.

You might want to place the blame on the fact that he's a alcoholic.

Personally speaking, drugs have changed me. But for the better, my confidence has increased and my musical boundaries have expanded. They've been good for me. Woo.

My friend used to be pretty smart, with common sense, anyways. Since she started irresponsibly using drugs, though, she's become a lot more spaced out. I don't really blame this on the drugs though, just her attitude towards them. I mean, she doesn't even look into what a pill is before she takes it.
